What is this clear cut weed?

A portion of my club was clear cut maybe a year to 2 years ago and shortly after the deer were all over the new growth. Then the paper company sprayed it before replanting and all that went away.

The new pines seedlings are in and there's this weed (see photos) that seems to be all over the place now. I don't think the deer are browsing it at all.

Any thoughts on what this is?

Yep, AKA Horseweed, nothing eats it and round up wont kill it

It’s a warm season plant. Dies off in the winter.

There's also a bountiful crop of horse thistle. So this is the immature version of horse thistle?

Not thistle, horseweed, roundup and 24d will kill it.
