Cool. Thanks for the pics. I see them on the Flint as well just always assumed it was from a different bird.
Especially early on a foggy morning right at daylight when all is quiet. Makes a chill run up my spine.The sound is nothing like you hear on tv or in video recordings. In real life, when there is nothing between you and the bird but air, that haunting song goes right into your soul.
You have to experience it in real life to understand. "Call of the wild" is a good term to describe it.
unless you're a coot that is.That they are, but if you ever see a marsh hawk (harrier) or swallowtail kite in action, then you`ll see true poetry in flight. A bald eagle hovering over a flock of coots is a sight to behold too.
