Whitey Ford was one of my favorite pitchers back in the time of the old Yankee team when I was growing up... Not many of the old Yankee team are still around today. Tony Kubek and Joe Pepitone and Bobby Richardson are still with us as is Hector Lopez, also 91 years of age.. RIP Whitey..

Whitey was one of my favorites got to see him and all the Yankee greats when they trained in St. Pete. Interesting to read he missed 2 years for military service. Only a few of the Oldtimers left. RIP Whitey
