female guards

My sons grandmother was a deputy, and really good at what she did.She had no problem escorting prisoners or executing warrants on males.

In this situation, poor planning led to a tragic situation.

She needed back up and wasnt supported.Execute the guy no trial, justice will be served.

The supervisor who allowed her to escort this prisoner alone should be held accountable. Also, the politicians in Fulton County should be held accountable. I believe it was just a day or so earlier that the Sheriff asked for funding for more staff so Deputies would not have to escort violent criminals alone, but they turned down his request. Too many politicians have taken the touchy, feely approach to dealing with any issue that they have lost their grasp of reality. Folks, there are people out there who are just out to cause as much havoc on society as possible and they don't care who they hurt. Until there is more accountability by the political forces who control the purse strings and set legislation, there will be a lot more of this type of thing. I hear too often society blaming law enforcement for all the problems in society, but in reality, LE can only do as much as the law allows. And who do you think sets those laws? That's right, the politicians through legislation and the elected Judges by setting case law. If you want things to change, you have to get rid of the bleeding heart liberals and vote someone in that will take a stand and protect society by creating laws that are not just window dressing.
Now I said my peace. Boy do I feel better.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Society is more concerned with building parks and baseball fields, politicians are spending too much money on building monuments to themselves and their butt kissing buddies, etc. to spend money on the things government SHOULD be doing. Instead, they give thousands and millions of $$$ to idiotic programs to "Help the children". I'll tell ya how to help the children, put all the violent criminals and career criminals in prison, shut the doors, get the guards out, and ...............I better stop there.

After a while you'll be surprised what a civil society we have.

Not to mention make it a felony to NOT carry a gun 24/7/365.

Nobody will ever convince me women should be allowed to work the streets arresting thugs or fight in military combat units. Women are not physically equiped to take on the average man.

Political correctness will get you killed. I believe the deputy escorting the killer was 5' 5" 120 pounds and 52 years old. How many men do you think she could put down and handcuff if necessary.

I watched one and half hours of COPS tonight and never saw a female cop run down and handcuff the crook. In fact, I have never seen a female cop chase a crook and put him on the ground. That alone should convince you that women are not qualified for the job. On one episode, two female cops were called to a bar to arrest a small, drunk man. He would not put his hands behind his back to be handcuffed. A male customer in the bar had to assist the two women cops in handcuffing the drunk. On another episode, the female head of drug interdiction at the Miami airport tried to handcuff a smuggler and he tossed her across the floor like a doll. As she rolled on the floor, she was hollering get him, get him to her male agents.

I think cops should look like the cops on tonights show from Palm Beach, Florida. Most were big men, bald headed or cut short and looked bad. That alone will put fear into most crooks. On a previous show from Dooly Co. Georgia, the cops looked like they could handle any situation.

When my son-in-law was in the Coast Guard in Savannah, he and his partner, a man, had to pick up two drunks stuck on an oyster bar. They began to cause trouble on the boat and my son-in-law had to put one down and handcuff him. My son-in-law said he would have been in trouble if his partner was one of the females that occassionally was on patrol with him.
