I bought one and Huntingjunkie is using it this season. Hoghunter1 bought one as well...but i see it is to long for his daughter and he has it for sale. It is a 223. My take from other boards is that the CVA Optima Elite is a poor mans Encore. Encore is made a little better and offers like 44 different calibers, but for the money, i would buy the CVA hands down....wait, i already did!!!

I got 2 of them SS Optima Elites, a 243 for my daughter with the compact stock and a 50cal ML for me. They are sweet guns and shoot very well. They have a very good trigger and mine breaks at 3.6# and my daughters is right at 4# and crisp. I just shot a 3 shot group with the ML and had 3 in 7/8in at 100yds, so it is a shooter. Nice ! Mark
