Guys I'm leaving wednesday to go Bear hunt in Virginia on a WMA and just looking for some advice as to what kind of sign to look for or other useful tips.

...Walk softly and carry a big stick! Any FRESH sign is good, be it scat, prints, or signs of feeding. Look to higher elevations, or the less accessible areas this late in the season. Bear quickly retreat from areas with lots of human scent. I'm not sure if, in Virginia, bear are still very active this late into winter weather. As bear get less active it gets tougher of course.Here in Georgia it's a LOT tougher now than earlier on......The best of good fortune to you, send us all a hunt report..
