Deer.........Where? Jefferson County?

Plenty of "sign", lots of acorns on the ground, 5 hunters all day Saturday.
But only 7 deer sited and all by one hunter. Just wasn't our opening day to
bragg about. : :huh:

I hunted my farm in Jefferson County this weekend. A friend and I saw 2 small bucks (out of range) and I had a couple more wind me.

Maybe I'll get that SE or SW wind that I need for my honey hole (secluded 4 acre plot of Iron Clay peas). It's only a matter of time.

In short, slow for me, too. Don't think you're the only one.

I finally went to the woods tonight right behind the house. I just planted a plot Friday and the peas were just starting to break the ground, but the persimmons on the edge of this plot were hitting the ground! There was a light drizzle and I never saw anything!
