Questions on controlled burn

I bought some property in Meriwether county and really want to get a controlled/prescribed burn... It's probably three years or more due, very very thick.

I've googled the GA prescribed fire council, but they seem to be south Ga focused. Any ideas about middle georgia contacts? And how long before the best time for burning should I get this started?

Thanks..

Contact your local GFC (GA Forestry Commission) office and ask them to stop by and make recomendations. The GFC also will cut your firebreaks cheaper than most others and I believe they may oversee the burn as well.

Get in touch with CrackerDave here on GON. You will not find a more knowledgeable, better fellow than him. He used to work with the GFC.
