Golden Isles - Kayak Fishing Memorial day weekend?

I don't have much experience in this area.

Was going to try some kayak fishing this weekend starting on Saturday. I'd imagine the water is muddy and a little cool due to the heavy rains the beginning of this week.

Anyone have some suggestions on what to target? My plans before the rain were to try openings of some tidal creeks.

I'm no help on fishing, but watch the tidal currents in the creeks. The large tidal change down there makes for some ripping currents at mid tide. I've heard of several kayakers who underestimated it and got into bad times.

You'll be fine. Tides aren't that bad this weekend. Put in at Village Creek and stay out of the main channel. Fish some of the smaller creek channels and creek mouths with live shrimp. Just be sure to give yourself plenty of time on either side of low tide to get back to the ramp.
