Scam from the past

Back in the day when magazines were popular and gas was supposedly scarce (early 1970s). There was an ad in the back for a device you could install in your car to increase gas mileage. A magnet you could clamp to your fuel line just before your carburetor, to align the gas molecules before they were burned. It varied how much it was supposed to increase the mileage but it was a secret the powers that be didn't want you to know about. All you had to do was send a check to the address and the miracle device would be sent to you. Install it yourself and reap the savings.

Saw the ads for several years.

If you google gas saving you can still find the scams online today.

And you can mix water into your gas and save even more!

Not as rare, you can still find no shortage of fools that will claim they know someone who bought the miracles thru the mail.

If a $10 accessory would double, triple your gas mileage it would be standard equipment.

But there should be photoshopped ads and legislature subsidies everywhere.

The Tesla model will arrive any day now.
