This is the most informative article that i have ever found concerning how sonar works and real world examples of what you are really seeing on your sonar. Read it, read it again, then read it once more. What you think you are seeing is not necessarily reality. There are a lot of common misconceptions that this will help explain.

Go to R/L tackle . Ron has some dvd's on sonar and gps. There are things on these dvd's that you never would think about. FISH ON !
