I am looking to put together a January combo hunt. Currently, I am looking at Kansas. Obviously weather will determine best results, but looking for some direction. Thank you.
January in Kansas may be a problem for the ducks. Very good chance you will be iced out. We have had to cancel in December because of ice several times...
January is a good time to hit Kansas. You'll probably have to hunt dry fields. Milo, corn, wheat, ect. Water will most likely be locked. Fill up the truck and just ride. Find some fields with birds and start asking farmer for permission. It shouldn't be a problem getting permission for pheasant. Ducks may be a little tougher. Good luck out there
