Blue Ridge Area Trout Fishing?

We have a group of guys that normally fish around Helen each year. Our trip is around April 28-30. Everyone uses spinning gear and mostly bait. Where would you reccomend we go to just catch some legal fish? Is the Toccoa good for spinning fishing with eggs or maybe red worms? What about just below Blue Ridge dam? I love fishing small streams here too but the first goal is to catch some fish ( trophies not required of course).

The Toccoa tailwater is open to fishing under general trout regulations. No size and 8 trout per day. Below the dam is a good place to start as is Horseshoe Bend Park in McCaysville.

A float trip from the ball fields to grinder switch on the Toccoa is a most excellent trip to try.

Rock Creek and Cooper Creek should be loaded with some stockers. Just south off Hwy 60.
