Lanier - Tough Bite Today

Out on a morning trip with two characters, Tom and Tommy..."junior" as I called him. I figured it would be a tough bite after the storms last night and it being the weekend...but not this tough. We were all over fish but mainly "window shoppers".

We kept at it hard....drop shot and spybait fishing. Boated 2-3 on the spybait and missed several more...breaking off the 7# leader. My knot? Too much pressure on a good fish? Who knows, but we lost a couple of good ones.

Drop shot - lost a couple of good ones in brush but boated 6. We were all over fish, but we could rarely get them to chase or eat...just suspended dormant.

Completely different from the last few weeks.
Always a ton of laughs with these two - back out tomorrow morning with another trip. Hope to see you out there - LJ

It was the dead sea or me also. Nothing was moving at all early in my locations. About 10-11 little breeze came and I found some brush in 2 places. Landed several under 2 lbs on the DS on 3 different colors.
