I had to replace one of my zippers. The guy told me to use soap so far works good.
I use a little bow string wax on mine !

Double a piece of para-cord and tie a knot in it...pulling the string is much easier than trying to grip the zipper itself. Paraffin wax on the zipper`s teeth will help it slide easier.

Chap Stick works on zippers and snaps on boat seats n such.
A generic brand is probably a lot cheaper than bow string wax but will accomplish the same thing.

I got so tired of messing with the zipper on my snake boots they were always giving problems. I went out and got the Lacrosse rubber snake boots and couldn't be happier.
