We would shoot a steel deer Silhouette at 450 yds free handed back many years ago. Lols. Them old sights worked good. I don’t even thing I have a round for it right now. Lost the bayonet to it some how.

the mechanics are the same for a 100 yard shot as they are for a 1 mile shot.

Actually it pushes Don’t kick. And not to much. That old rifle is pretty heavy. Ain’t shot it in over 20 years or more. We had fun with it back in the day. Got it 40 something years ago.

Id guess that setting is dominated by the 338 Lapua & 50 BMG ? 700 is a long poke around these Piney woods..can’t imagine adding another 1000 yds to it!

Took me 15 shots to walk my sharps into 1000 yards. Once I figured it out I hit the steel Buffalo 2 more times.
