Fresh lipstick on the old girl for me this year.
-2007 Archery Research/PSE AR32
-QAD HDX rest
-String Tamer stop
-Spot Hogg Real Deal 5pin (new to me)
-Axion 6" Stab/Silencer
-Pine Ride Wishbones
-Vapor Trails installed at the end of last season
-Scott Little Goose release
-Gold Tip Hunters, 340 spine, 50gr insert, 100gr point. Will be hunting with the QAD Exodus head again this year.

This is the 4th sight I've had on this bow since I bought it new in '07. The first was a basic 5 pin deal that came on the package. The second was a Sword Apex 1.5. Great sight, but more of a target sight than a hunting sight with .010 pins and a dovetail. I put on a Rocky Mountain direct-mount 5pin at the end of last season with the new strings. I liked it better than the Sword and the pins are super bright, but just never really loved it and couldn't escape the feeling that it was "a lot of sight for the money." In other words, they crammed a lot of features like micro adjust and 2nd axis into a price point sight and so they weren't well executed. Once the 2nd axis shot loose on me, that was the end of it and I started shopping on AT classifieds. I was very happy to pick up this Spot Hogg. It doesn't have a bunch of adjustments, and frankly I'm glad for it. Less to go wrong. What it does have is really smart design and construction and the best pins I've had the pleasure of looking at.

Still shooting my 8 year old Diamond Infinite edge. Got it cranked to the max, 67 lb draw. Nothing fancy, stock sights and added a Whisker Biscuit, this is an old pic before the Whisker biscuit. I went heavy this year, 250 spine arrows, Magnus 100 grain 2 blade Buzzcut broad heads, and testing out adjustable 200 grain inserts. Tuning it and it's shooting great right now but may swap out the inserts for some 100 grain ones and test it out some more and go from there. In the past I've been shooting 250 spine arrows with a 50 grain insert and Schwacker mechanicals.

Well, it’s been a good ride old girl, but my desire for a Mathews finally came to fruition. Just brought this one home this evening. Time to pass the AR32 on to someone else.13AB6C59-B875-45A3-854F-555EB1771797.jpeg
