Me and my buddy were out knocking around today….too hot to fish. We both love history . We have passed this old cemetery several times, but decided to check it out today. Hats in hand, we went inside the old stone walls. First thing to catch our eye was the battle flag. A member of the Palmetto sharpshooters Robert G. Stephenson. . Beautiful marker . When we got toward the backside, which tends to be the oldest, we found a revolutionary war solider…Colonel Robert Patton. 1737-1807.. Nice markers on both graves. Lots of history between them old stone walls. I would love to see it taken better care of. Deo vindice.IMG_1335.jpegIMG_1340.jpegIMG_1338.jpegIMG_1337.jpeg

What material was the Revolutionary Soilder's marker made out of?

Not cut very deep to be showing that good as old as it is.

I'd like to know as I have been thinking about what mine will be made out of.

Copper, bronze or even certain types of brass would be very good and last millennia if someone didn't steal them and sell for scrap.
