Back from six days at Intricate Bay Lodge on the shores of Lake Iliamna, Alaska.
Carolyn and I were scheduled for this trip last year but Covid had other plans. The trip was rescheduled for this year.
Getting there and back involved a drive from and to Atlanta, United to Chicago and then on to Anchorage. Uber to Iliamna Air, and finally a float plane ride across the lake to the lodge. About 24 hours of travel each way with wait times included.
Our lodging and food was good, the fish big and eager, the scenery spectacular and the bears......my, the bears.
