One day during our time in the Denali-Talkeetna area, we took a jet boat tour up the Susitna River into Devil's Canyon. While we tend to stay away from overly tourist type things, I have to say this was a blast and would definitely do it again and recommend it to anyone else. We had lunch during ours and they actually prepared me my own meal due to my crazy alpha-gal syndrome issues. Google "Mahays Jet Boat Tours" and you can see the various options for different trips etc. We did the 5 hr tour into Devil's Canyon. My hat is off to our captain, there are only a handful of folks qualified or capable of making that run in that river. There were a few folks freaking out when he got to the actual canyon. Was cloudy and foggy most of the time we were there so it limited the scenery somewhat. Still huge blocks of river ice on the bank in almost mid-June.
