Originally built circa 1840 in Albany, GA, moved to Stone Mountain Park in 1961.
If my memory serves me correctly, the house did not originally have a basement or the front stair cases.
I visited this place anytime we got the attraction passes, the historic square has been my absolute favorite attraction at Stone Mountain Park since I was a little girl.
Last time I visited the place looked a sadly neglected, now I fear for the rest of the homes since the main one is gone.
What stinks is, its not just the fire and smoke that does damage, its the water, then the mold that comes quickly after, so it makes it really hard for anything to be salvageable.
A lot of wavy glass and antiques were sadly lost along with the house.
