Any other Old-timer's remember this lure?

Sure do. Jack and redfin pike loved them too. It`s been at least 50 years since I`ve seen one though, and I have no idea what happened to the ones I had.

I guarantee you take that thing to the lake. The jack and redfin will still love them.

That brings back some real good memories of big shellcrackers in the lake at Rock Eagle, back in the sixties and seventies. That lure would slay 'em! Big bluegill would hit it,too.

Used those on the Ochlocknee River. Also liked the Hawaiian Wiggler.

Cracker Dave,I've used that lure in Rock Eagle lake myself, as well as most of middle Georgia that I could get to in those days. Wish I could get a double handful of those "things " now. What's a Flarda man and West Georgia man doing in my neck of the woods? I'd be willing to reenact a trip to Rock Eagle, just saying.

Why do good lures always seem to fade away?
Like others, The Thing brings back some great fishing memories.
Used to troll them in small central Florida lakes in the mid - late 60's and the bream would come out of the water with their fins up.
