Apparently deer can't swim...

Once you double lung them. :)

This doe ran about 80 yards. She stopped and stood there for about 15 minutes. Then decided to run another 80 yards toward the lake. I heard lots of splashing then silence.

I'm estimating she weighed "180 pounds" soaking wet. Lol.

Not very well with a hole in their lungs. They tend to take on to much water.

Good one but I don't think a "double lunged" deer can stand for 15 minutes...or any other living thing on this earth honestly but I get your point! Congrats!

A deer hit low toward the brisket area will react that way too. We recovered a 155# Brooks Co. monster doe last week. Congrats on a big one.

Sure will!

I shot a doe yesterday evening and really thought that I smoked her. Really good blood trail, all the way to the lake. Willie went out in the lake swimming around like she should be right here.

Found her at lunch time today washed up on the bank and the yotes had pretty much eaten her up.
