Artifacts I D Day

The public is invited to bring their artifacts to be identified
and dated by members of the Ocmulgee Archaeological
Society, who will be on hand to identify Indian artifacts from
all periods and historic artifacts from the earliest days of
settlement. Of special note, several noted experts from
across Georgia will be on hand to identify and record Clovis,
Dalton, and other early projectile points. There will be
several artifact collections on display, flintknapping
demonstrations by Dave Swetmon, as well as atl-atl,
primitive weapons, and friction fire demonstrations.

:flag:Just wanted to remind everyone about the Artifacts I D Day, coming up this Saturday, June 22nd, at the Indian Spring Hotel/Museum, 12 to 4 pm. This is a free event, so bring your artifacts and have them looked at by the pros. Dave Swetmon will be on hand demonstrating the art of flint knapping and if you need knapping tools or material, he will have them also. Hope to see you there, it's a fun and interesting day !! :flag:

We had a great turn out for the Artifacts ID Day, with over 200 folks bringing artifacts to be identified and dated. Just wondered if any of you guys attended the event?
