We needed him. Quality running back depth has been a issue for us for a few years. Hope he sticks and stays with us, we can use him..... Gus doing work this year. Auburn back up to #6 in the composite rankings. Not bad for a coach everyone thinks is on the hot seat.

Now we need a few quality defensive linemen. We also need our next "great" defensive lineman. We typically have one at any time that can dominate. Fairley ----> Monty Adams ----> Derrick Brown --->??? Derrick should be a top 10 NFL pick next spring. Just need the next guy to step in.

Good get for us today.

Which means UGA has another one it wants ... probably a silent commit.

Tank looks like he will be a good one.

He wanted to go to Carolina, but then Carolina had to use a 2020 scholarship to take the Feaster kid that grad transferred in from Clemson. They already had a 5 star running back, so he had no spot at that point in their 2020 class. Georgia quickly jumped on him and he thought to be going to UGA. Georgia will have 2 RB spots for 2020. Milton has already claimed on of them, and Bigsby was thought to be the second one. However, Zach Evans visited UGA in late July, and then all of a sudden Bigsby visits Auburn three or four times in a row and then commits quickly. If you read between the lines he went to Auburn because they were the only one of the three that had a spot for him. UGA most likely already has a silent commit from Evans. Yes, he could always flip on them last minute, but they obviously feel confident enough to pass on Bigsby.

A lot of the kids that commit at this time of the year are committing to where they are committing, not because it is necessarily their first choice, but because the other schools have already filled that position spot with guys they like just as much or more. Unless the kid is a 5 star or a three star with mid-major or smaller non-factory schools, holding out usually ends up limiting their options instead of giving them more opportunity. At the same time, a number of guys that commit early end up getting "processes out" when the school finds someone they like better, i.e. J.D. Bertrand last year, or Nazir Stackhouse this year. Stackhouse has "decommmitted" yet, but just wait, it is coming.

If Carolina had wanted him, they would have gotten him. Same goes for Georgia after Carolina told him the spot was gone. Feaster and two more transfers had to count toward the 2020 class, even though Feaster will only play one year. They basically "loose" a scholarship for him to the 2020 season, because they used it for him to play this year. They picked the present(Feaster) over the potential future(Bigsby). They have Lloyd committed, so that makes sense. Had they not used that scholarship, they would have taken Bigsby. You only want 5 or so scholarship running backs on the roster. They currently have freshman and seniors with basically nothing in between. If they had taken Bigsby, they would end up with 4 or 5 backs net year that are all freshmen or sophomores, which they don't want from a roster management standpoint. They also can also only sign 22 in the 2020 class, and they already have 14 or 15 commits. They aren't going to tie up three RB scholarships in 2020 when they have other needs, especially when Fester won't even be there for that season. Like I said, he didn't choose Auburn, as much as Auburn actually had room for him. I'm not knocking the kid at all as I think he is very talented, but there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes with this stuff.
