My little one dragged this one in on Jekyll Island.

Nice. I was at Jekyll Tuesday and Wednesday with my wife this week. Caught small whiting and sail cats in the surf. No much action but small fish.

Took him about 5 minutes with it taking line out several times( Dad coached). He lost two a couple days before and after losing those two, this was rewarding for him.

Had to wash his mouth out with soap after those two he lost.

That's a good size bonnethead.
They don't grow a lot bigger than that.

I think the world record is around 26-27lbs. One that size would be a blast to tangle with on a baitcaster
