Bow technology? Then vs now?

Hello all,

I haven’t really been paying attention to archery over the past 6 years or so, and I’m trying to educate myself on the new stuff (bows).

How do older flagship bows compare to the bows of today? Are they equal to a $500 entry bow? Looks like top models are $1K plus.

I have a 2009 Hoyt Alphamax 35. Curious to where it may compare after 11 years.

Your 09 will certainly still get the job done. Speed hasn't changed much, but everything else has. I think you'll find the shot on a new bow will feel way different than your old one. The 500$ bow will also be a step up for you, though maybe not as drastic, I think you'll still notice quite a change.

Go shoot one if you wanna spend some money lol
