Bullet drop

Shot today at 100yds and I am happy with my pattern. Elevation impact is exactly 1 1/2 above zero. Shooting 100grs of Buckhorn 209. Can I be close in guessing what my impact would be at say 150 to 200. I do not have a place to shoot that far. Bullet is a T/C Shockwave 250 grain Spire Point. Thanks for any info....

Here's what you need to do.... use the information for your approximate bullet velocity and charge from here: http://www.blackhorn209.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/b209muzzleloaderdata.pdf

Next, find out what your specific bullets BC (ballistic coefficient) is, which should be around .210

Next, learn to use a ballistics software program, which will give you very close information concerning your bullet drop. A great one is: http://www.jbmballistics.com/cgi-bin/jbmtraj-5.1.cgi

Another software program that you can download for FREE from the Google store, straight to your cell phone and use it on the range is: Strelok

Nothing...…… beats actual shooting at distance. So many things come into play, with the wind being a HUGE factor. Using one of the ballistics programs, add in a 5mph 90° wind and see how far the wind will move a bullet.

Hope this helps.
