Buying honey bees

I’ve reached out to blue ridge honey for bees but they are sold out for the year. Does anyone know of a reputable seller for a novice to get started?

depends on what part of the state you are in.
NE would be blue ridge or Appalachian bee ranch, South (Baxley) would Be Gardiners Bee, NW (Atlanta) Barnyard Bees.
Better yet, build swarm traps and catch bees.
You can buy in quickly, and lose all your bees quickly. Better to take your time and go slow.

"Useless Billy" Fire Chief.
Rossman apiaries down south, May be a little late to order bees this year from them though.

check with Mountain Honey in Toccoa. They have bee days in March or so, and sell nucs

You could also get the Farm and Market Bulletin. People are selling bees in it all the time

^^^^ Good results with Mountain Honey.

Usually have to order by the 1st of the year so you might want to get after it

Just an fyi but if you want to buy bees you need to start looking/ordering in December. Most places will be sold out already.
