CAN JAKES BREED?

Been reading up a little and some say they can't or rarely do based on testicular development and pecking order.

Guess that goes against only shooting mature birds if thats the case, but if you shoot jakes then you're taking out next year's breeders.

Add in hens can store sperm and release as needed

I don't know... yet.
I've heard and read yay and nay my whole life.
Just this winter however... a very close friend got 3 young turkeys for his farm. 2 hens and 1 jake. In the winter he got them and they all basically looked the same, just the past few months the one started turning jake with the liitle erect beard and head n neck gettin colored up.
Ok well now one of the hens has a clutch of eggs and is sittin on em.
We are anxious to see if they will hatch into poults

A lot are theories and no conclusive study done.

Some are area/region specific

Maybe after they burn the 1st nest and she needs to lay more he will be old enough.
Now after the best gets broken up. It takes her a couple of weeks for her system to say I need to lay more eggs. I want to be a mommy. Now if she has poults. Mother Nature says your raising kids and the egg factory’ doesn’t start back up.
Funny how that works.

A jakes sperm can't survive at what point? In the jakes reproductive organs, or transfered to the hens reproduction organs?
I never listened to all of chamberlans pod cast. I heard some of it but not this part
