What are those yellow flowers in my clover plot and why were they not done in by the 2 4 DB?

Mow it and spray it again when it's growing back and smaller.

Thanks! Soon as I get a working mower I will get on it.

Maybe mow now and early September then spray when temps stay under 90?

It's probably both bitter weed and horse weed, I'd mow it and not the clover and spray about a week later.

That's definitely bitter sneeze weed, 24db is going to be your best choice

I hit them once in April but these things laughed and kept going

I will mow the tops as soon as I have an operational bush hog. I already have the 2 4 DB.

Temps over 90 ok to spray?

24db isn't as volatile as regular 24d, you should be fine as long as it isn't a 100 degrees

Pull one or two up then lick your fingers. Then wash your hands and then lick your fingers again. If after washing your hands numerous times, you still taste the yuck of the weed, then you will know for sure it’s bitter weed.

I vividly remember picking some of those for my mother back when I was a little fellow. Didn’t think I would ever get my hands clean again.

Agree. Fabrication and usage of a weed wiper would make a great sticky

You can buy and or fabricate one pretty easily, especially if you have a friend who gets you started with some spare parts (thanks Crakajak).

RoundUp (glyphosate) will set the clover back a bit but won't kill it, in particular if you do it with plenty of moisture in the ground or when the clover is going dormant.
