Cold, Windy, Big Woods Cohutta WMA Tom

I left this Tom gobbling yesterday morning to make it to Church on time. Unfortunately for him I don't have Church on Monday mornings. Mid twenty's and windy this morning at 3k+ ft., but I continue to be very blessed.

I've been sharing Cohutta info on this site for years and met a lot of good folks by doing so. Anyone can come on up and climb some hills if they want to turkey hunt the 3rd best WMA in Murray County.

Most folks bent on killin critters take cohutta off their list after the first trip.

I drove over to Cohutta for the first time ever a couple of weekends ago just to get the lay of the land and do a little walking. Absolutely beautiful country and I could not get over the size of the place. If you combined Chattahoochee, Chestatee, swallows creek, and Coopers Creek you would have Cohutta. Pretty sure there is no risk of it becoming overcrowded anytime soon.
