Arriving and Leaving
A. All competitors must be checked in with tournament director no later than 15 minutes before the start of the tournament.
B. To check in, first send one person for your boat to registration station. There you will draw for boat release order and fill out registration form. Next, you will move your boat to the ramp where it will be check and cleared by tournament official; once boat is cleared, you then may launch your boat. DO NOT LAUNCH BEFORE REGISTERING AND GETTING BOAT CHECKED.
C. Get a numbered chip from the registration table—this number is the order you’ll leave the access site when the tournament begins. You’ll return this number when you check back in when returning to the access site for weigh-in. Leaving before your number is called is means for disqualification.
D. Launch boat immediately following cleared inspection by tournament official.
E. All fishing stops at the stoppage time determined prior to the tournament by the director. Boats must be loaded or at access site waiting to be loaded at stoppage time. Show your number chip to the official on the dock (if you have no fish to weigh in give number to official), then load your boat on trailer and/or move out of the way of others before bringing your fish forward to weigh-in.
F. You must weigh your fish immediately upon arriving at the access site.
G. Boats arriving within 10 minutes after the official tournament stoppage time will be deducted 1 lb. from the total weight of their catch for the day. Competitors arriving later than 10 minutes after the official stoppage time will be disqualified.
State Laws and Regulations
A. All competitors must make themselves aware of all fishing regulations in the state of Georgia.
A. Only competitors with a valid Georgia driver’s license or with a boater certification may operate a fuel-powered motor.
Bag limits
A. You are allowed to have up to 5 legal size bass in your livewell. Keeping more than 5 fish in the livewell at any time is grounds for immediate disqualification from the event.
B. Dead fish may not be culled.
C. Bass species permitted include largemouth, spotted, shoal, redeye, or smallmouth.
D. An 8 oz deduction will be given for each dead fish brought to weigh-in. It is your responsibility to take every measure to ensure the safety of fish in your possession.
E. Each boat must be equipped with a reliable measurement device for ensuring only legal size fish are kept
F. Each fish must meet the legal size limit. It is your responsibility to know this for each event. An attempt to weigh a fish that isn’t considered legal size, will result in loss of total weight for that fish, and an additional 8 oz reduction to the remaining total weight.
Tackle and Equipment
A. All fish must be caught in a legal sporting manner.
B. Intentional snagging of fish will not be allowed.
C. Trolling with the aid of combustion or electric motors is not permitted.
D. Only artificial lures may be used.
E. Only one (1) rod per angler may be used at any one time.
Practice
A. You may fish the lake whenever the lake is open prior to the tournament. You may pre-fish at any time up until midnight TWO days prior to the tournament.
Weather
A. If it rains, we will continue. If lightning is spotted YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY find cover and/or head for the access sight. You will be notified by phone call and/or text if the tournament status is changed due to weather conditions.
B. If a tournament was started, but ended early due to weather, no attempt to reschedule will occur and the winners will be determined by the total weight at the time the tournament was canceled.
C. If a tournament is cancelled due to inclement weather before the tournament had begun, the tournament will be rescheduled for another date.
Weigh-In
A. If you do not have a tournament fish bag, one will be provided for your use. Transport your fish from livewell to weigh-in station with bag.
B. Before placing any fish in weigh basket inform weigh official of your tournament number (given to you at beginning of tournament).
C. For in case of a tie and to determine Big Bass winner, all teams will select their largest bass to be weighed. The director will not weigh multiple fish to determine the largest; this determination is up to the competitors.
D. If a tie remains, the tie-breaker will then go to the competitor arriving to weigh-in earliest.
E. The tournament director will place bag of fish in basket. Another official will record the weight for largest bass and total weight of all fish.
F. At the weigh-ins, once the contestant has passed his sack of fish to the weigh master, the contestant cannot touch the fish again. Any angler may request a onetime immediate "re-weigh" of their fish before leaving the scale area with their sack of fish. Once a sack of fish has left the scale area, the angler loses his right to request a re-weigh and any request of that nature will be denied.
G. Release fish immediately following weigh-in.
