"Linesides" - Usually striped bass, hybrids, white bass

Finger mullet - a mullet that is relatively small in size. Great bait for inshore species.

Mud minnow - a killifish or similar inshore Saltwater minnow species commonly used for bait in the gulf and southeast

Albie - a false albacore tuna

Little Tunny - False albacore tuna aka "Bonito or Bonita" (both of which also means beautiful in spanish)

Make Ready Lane- a place in the parking lot of a boat ramp where you get all your stuff together before you actually back down the ramp. Use this same lane to put all your stuff away after you pull the boat back up and away from the ramp. This way other people aren't waiting on you to use the ramp.

Venting - the act of releasing air out of a fish with the use of a venting tool to help the fish regulate it's swim bladder and decrease mortality rate after being caught from deep water and released.

Hump - an underwater hill that fish relate to

Point - a piece of structure that extends out into the lake and tapers down on two sides. An underwater peninsula.

Flat - a section of a lake that is consistent in depth without any features such as point or hump.

Structure - the topography of the lake bottom

Cover - Underwater fish attracting objects like rocks, trees, docks, brush piles, bridge pilings, etc
