Got a few in the ground today...

Had to wait for the rain to pass to head out trappin' today.

Had 10 sets in mind, but only got 6 made. Totally wingin' it trying to shake up and do something different on my tired property.

Got three blind sets at fence crossings. This time I made a double at one that has worked before. The other is at a crossing trail where I found some fresh guinea feathers. I put a old fence post for him to hop over...

The other three are standard stuff, scent posts, and one on a pretty fresh coyote dump...

Might make a few more tomorrow.

We'll see what happens!

Also, I did decide to try the beaver castor lure on a couple of sets. One with castor and a few drops of fox P, and one with just the castor...

Fixed a deer stomp this morning, evidently beaver castor interests them too...

Seems deer are attracted to anything I’ve ever used

I once shot a deer over backbreaker (castor based lure). Had a set about 20 yards from my stand. Two deer came in downwind blowing and raising cane. Ignored me and went right to the set

Caught this guy twice, he ain't so smart...

The coyote and cat we've been after ain't been seen..

These warm temps are not helping us. So far,in the last 2 weeks,I’ve only caught 1 Coyote & 1 Bobcat. I’ll check them this evening after work & likely trip all of the footholds. Releasing mad Bobcats & Grey foxes has lost its allure for me . I’ll just call in Coyotes from time to time..as needed.
