I figured some bream might be on or near beds with the full moon. Went today 10-3 (slept in), fished small jigs tipped with red wigglers, and the ol' stand-by "root beer float" color trout magnet on 1g JDM Daiwa jig. I found some good 'uns in a biting mood. Lost count of how many I released, 20-30 I guess, and I took home 7-8 big males, which have been filleted and are resting on ice. Prob enough for 2-3 meals, since kids are moved out. I may go again in the AM and check some different areas.

I’ve been trying to locate some beds using side imaging while bass fishing. I’ve never been able to find big bream at Sinclair other than the occasional shell cracker. I’m sure they’re there though

My little pond has some huge bluegill but their spawning area has been covered in silt and I don't see any beds. Will they bed on a sandy, silty bottom? Is there a method for getting the silt out?

Afraid I don't know the answers to those questions. Maybe someone who manages ponds will chime in... they will spawn somewhere. I find them with sonar/Livescope, and sometimes even my nose. Maybe the spawn is over for the year.
