Caught it with bird shot out of a 12 gauge.

I caught my first copperhead with a Snapper. I was easing beside a building and it fell off of a stack of marble, landed near my feet, got kicked off the mower, and the 28" blade took care of it. I didn't try petting it, but I did back up and run over it again to make sure.
