It looked to me like you had one hook in the lip and one in the side of the gill and the fish was turned sideways when it came up giving it a more broad appearance. It ran hard and the foul hook came loose leaving it to fight normally.

That being said I wasnt there and the video is tough. Eitherway the result looked good to me.

Shoalies will do the same.Not unusual to be bringing one in and three or four will be with it.

i bet youguys are right. i never did feel any slack in the line. and when that smallie came up he was thrashin around like he had just been hooked!

I was watchin for your rod to go slack and never saw it happen .. Cool video.
