It’s not as flimsy as I expected. I might let it sit in the swamp for a year and see. Not sure if the oil would ever dry up.


Leave that poison ivy alone. If you want a good walking stick, use water oak, maple, or hickory. Find you a good sapling, cut it, leave the bark on it while it cures, then remove the bark, round the end that hits the ground, cut a pot lifter notch in the upper end, wipe it down with boiled linseed oil, and you`ll have a walking stick you can leave your Grandkids.

I have some water oak I will use. I like odd things so the poison ivy was interesting.
