We kicked the idea around a few months ago of moving to Idaho, had a decent job opportunity come up. The more I thought about it, I decided one winter would drive me back home to Georgia. I’d rather move further south into the gnats and lovebugs…they keep the undesirables away.

I commuted up to MSP for a job. First snow in early October last snow in early June. A week of -25, that’s no way to live.

I agree, about the first week of 75+ always has me wishing it was January again.

Of this hot weather. And to make it worse, I saw the first yellow fly of the season.

Gonna be long hot summer....
You're slap-dab crazy. I've been waiting patiently through months and months of miserable cold, frozen, gray, dead winter for the earth to live again. I'm loving it. Move to Minnesota. Seems like half the self-professed "southerners" are actually closet yankees or Eskimos who don't want to do south things. If you melt when it hits 80, you ain't cut out for this place. Go colonize the tundra, to bring some balance for all those folks moving here from up there. Bring the greasy heat! I love it!

I just read a thing where they said South Carolina is the fastest growing state in the country. Bumped Florida for the top spot. Weather and politics were the main reasons.

High at home on Sunday is forecast to be 54, a low at 39 one morning and the highest high temp all week is 75 or so. Sounds like Spring is coming back for at least a bit. We're visiting the kids and was 90 on my truck when we got here (Nashville area) around 4:00 yesterday. Had an event to attend at our daughter's college last night and I made the mistake of wearing a long sleeve and I guess they haven't got the air cranked up good yet, got a bit stuffy to say the least. Nice and cool 61 or so here right now though.

I get at least one letter a week from some real estate company or another wanting to buy my land in SC sight unseen.

No way to know what kind of summer it will be yet. Just because we’ve had a few unusually warm days early doesn’t mean much. I am absolutely not looking forward to ninety something degree days but last summer was the first really hot one we’ve had in a while.

It will start sucking now. “But we’re very conservative.” Good. Stay where you are and be conservative.

I always reply sure and put the "I would only sell for xxxxxxxx.oo
I reserve all hunting, fishing ,mineral, and recreational rights for 30 years. need 2 years to think about that.30% earnest money is required as a cashiers check made payable to cash." You get taken off all the list pretty quick.
