Lake Tugaloo and Bear creek Reservoir

I've been fishing major lakes and I'd like to expand into electric only lakes. Can I use my bass tracker with a 50hp merc on these lakes if I do not use the outboard and only use the trolling motor? What about other electric only lake suggestions?

Also, I'm in the market for a 14ft flat bottom jon boat to transport in the back of my truck. If anyone know someone who has one for sale at a reasonable price, please let me know. Bass pro stopped making the riveted topper boats and now they are welded...I got a quote of 1797$ just for the boat...

Thank you

Only electric only lake I know of is quite a haul for you.. Lake Acworth. You can use any boat in it as long as the big motor is tilted up and you use the trolling motor.

You can’t launch a boat with a gas motor at Bear Creek (unless they’ve changed the rules in the last couple years).

You can launch a gas motored boat at Fort Yargo in Winder or Sandy Creek north of Athens and just run the trolling motor. They allow gas motors up to 10 hp I think. You might get away with running the big motor to put it on the trailer (or so I’ve heard…)

There is an electric only lake at the bottom end of Lake Russell wma i believe. Not sure about the rules there.

Yargo is a great suggestion. Cedar Creek reservoir in Hall County is also within shooting distance. Marben PFA would be yet another to consider, though it’s a little haul from Commerce. You’re out of luck on Bear Creek without that Jon. Check Craigslist. I’ve seen some fixer uppers very reasonably priced lately.

Thank you! I called DNR and they transferred me to about 6 different people...One person said the HP restriction only applied to outboards "operated" on the lake...so I could raise the outboard and use the trolling motor only.

Bear Creek is a no go for any gas outboard...

Ya'll mentioned Cedar Creek...can I raise the outboard on that one? I plan on asking when I get a call back from a local game warden...
