Looking forward to tomorrow night's meeting. Leonel really knows how to catch trophy stripers. If you ever wanted to know how its done, you should come to the LSC meeting and hear what he has to say.

When Lanier's Striped Bass record is broken, more than likely, you will see Leonel holding the record-breaker. He routinely catches Stripers over 30 pounds.

Make it a point to attend tonight's meeting to learn a few pointers about trophy fishing.

P.S. Tonight's menu includes fried chicken and all the trimmings!

Just show up to the meeting and speak with the club treasure and secretary. They will get you all signed up. You don't have to join to attend a meeting. Feel free to stop by and check us out a few times before you make a decision. That being said we would be more than willing to accept you tonight if you elected to join. Meals are a very reasonable 5 bucks per person and are always good!

Food

I just placed an order with Publix for: 104 pieces of fried chicken, six containers of cole slaw, six containers of potato salad, and Hawaiian King Rolls. We will have plenty of drinks and a lip-smacking dessert!

Regarding dues, they are pro-rated at five dollars a month; our fiscal year begins on May 1. Therefore, if you wanted to join tonight, your dues would be $15 (for Feb, Mar, and April). Join on May 1----dues would $60 for the year. We have a very simple membership application.

We meet at the former location of Hammonds Fishing Center - intersection of Hwys 306 and 369.

Bill Carson will be speaking at our March meeting - How to best use your sonar unit. Ooops, I probably should not have announced that?

On Tuesday, Leonel revealed all of his proven techniques for catching trophy Stripers to a jam-packed audience. (Most of us were still feasting on fried chicken and fudge cake when he started his presentation). At the end of our meeting, he was cornered by at least a dozen fishermen wanting to know more about catching big fish. No doubt - we all learned some of Leonel's unique techniques for both targeting as well as catching Lanier's behemoths.

At our March meeting, Bill Carson will speak about "how to best use your sonar unit. Bill is the field marketing manager for Humminbird marine electronics group; he is also a seasoned Lake Lanier fisherman. Start making your plans to attend the March 4 meeting.
