On Samsung s23 when sending text, the "+" has an option for Location sharing. I will try it out and report back.
I use OnX regularly when the nearest village is 100+ miles away. I highly recommend it. I don’t use it as much in Alaska because our tracts of land are so large, but in the lower 48 I’ve used it religiously for years. It’s an amazing app to have. Another good communication device is a Garmin inreach. About $500 up front but you have sos, texting, tracking, etc. abilities in the middle of nowhere.I've heard people talk about this app. How reliable is it in weak signal areas? I know some of my stuff works better than others in Low S environments. Since I hunt alone I suppose I should give my wife some way of finding my body.
