Put together a small music box for my daughter out of some mahogany. The handle come from a piece of cherry that forum member anvilhead gave me a while back. The finished product has some flaws but overall it came out pretty good. The rounded shape of the feet I cut by hand with a wood rasp as I do not have a router table. They came out surprisingly well I think. Plays a 18 note tune of "greensleeves".
This was a completely random project. I was online looking for something completely unrelated and run across these high quality Japanese music box mechanisms. 5 days later it was delivered.
These small boxes are really fun to build. I might try to make a few more.......
