New wingbone call material?

Has anybody out there ever used a goose wing to make a wingbone call with?

I killed 2 geese while duck hunting this morning and I have saved the wingbones to make me one. I was just wonderin' if anybody else has had the same idea and if you've had any success with it.

P. S. If you haven't had this idea, don't make one like mine, because I want to be the only person in the woods making calls with one if it ends up giving me an edge.

I have used this set up in the past as do many callmakers that I know. I use the goosebone for the mouth piece with a gobbler bone for the other two pieces (more volume).

The goose bone is MUCH easier to control when operating the call. They are also much easier to obtain than are wild turkey hen wingbones.

Let me know how that caller turns out.

The late Neil Cost used snow goose wing bones for slate call strikers.

He glued one of the small(ulnar) bones into a dried corn cob.
