I caught some on a piece of my t-shirt when I was a kid. I had walked about a half mile to the pond and they were really biting that day. After awhile my rubber worm was gone. I started to pack it in, but instead tore off some of my shirt tail and put it on the hook and fished it just like the worm. It kept working until I had to leave.
