Nosler Balistic Tip Performance

I am shooting .5 (1/2) grain above the min suggested charge and probably around 2400 fps . I guess that long (1.3in ) 140gr 6.5 diameter bullet had enough base to exit and leave a thumb size hole after the front seperated.

 

[35 Whelen]

This year I am using 225 grain 35 caliber Nosler Ballistic Tip bullets in my 35 Whelen. Nosler no longer makes this bullet, it was labeled "35 Whelen," guess they were not selling enough to continue manufacturing them. When these are gone I will go back to Partitions or try Accubonds, they make both in 35 caliber 225 grain.
