Ocmulgee Spots

[GA BASS ODYSSEY]

Went out at Popes ferry today hoping to get on a few Shoalies. They were nowhere to be found but the spots were active. Caught a few in the late afternoon. I so happy i don't have to get on Lake Lanier for some spot action. They are plenty and some big ones on the Ocmulgee. My biggest this year is over 4 lbs.

I'm guessing the spots/Alabama bass are pushing out the shoalies?

Yes. Spots are voracious eaters... The shoalies are still around, but getting tough..

I have caught 4 different species of bass in my section of river. Large,Spot, Shoal, Bartram. Spots and Shoals are at the top.

Moved a Wolfpack of good ones yesterday. 8-9 fish all between maybe 18-21 inches.

The weird part is it was clearly spots and shoalies hunting together. Group was about half and half.
