Picked up a Cool Old Shotgun

I don’t think it’s very rare or valuable but I’ve loved humpback shotguns since I was big enough drool into a shooters bible. I’m going to see if I can cut some grouse and quail feathers with it this fall. Savage 720.

have dads old savage.. but it’s from after the rounded them down. 755 or 775.

iirc, they all derive from JMB’s design.

I’ve never seen a Savage built on a Browning patent. Do remember a Remington though. I hunted with one a buddy had. He got hard up for money and sold it to a gunsmith for $35. Yeah I was disgusted.

I've got one nearly like that in the back of my safe. Improved cylinder, I believe.

I got an old Remington made on the Browning Pat., made in 1907. But not near as nice as the one you got there.
