Pizza toppings diced or sliced?

I guess I am getting a little old although I saw one TV show where Guy Fieri also prefers his toppings chopped up fine and sprinkled all over the pie.

So why does every place nowadays insist on putting huge chunks of meat and big slices of the veggies on every pizza?

If there isn't any place someone recommends that will honor your request for diced and sprinkled ingredients, then I reckon I have to learn how to fix my own pizza crust. Have tried grocery store crust before, but it never seems to turn out as good.

If its pizza I will deal with the toppings, large or small doesn't matter to me.

I prefer it chopped up but I don't really like too many ingredients on a pizza. One meat, jalapenos, and mushrooms is about as far as I like to take it.

im seeing folks chop up the ingredients that goes on an Italian sub and mixing mayo/mustard/oil/vinegar then spreading that on the bun and eating it that way....
